Application process

1. Registration: You can register online on the website of Stage-USA.
2. First contact: You will be contacted by a team member of Stage-USA to schedule an online intake meeting.
3. Intake: During this intake meeting we go over your program details, host company qualifications and process
4. Program Agreement: Based on your intake, Stage-USA will draft your J1 visa agreement which you can sign in the portal. After signing your Stage-USA J1 Visa agreement, you will receive an invoice for the deposit. 
5. Collecting documents: Both your host company and yourself receive a list of documents to submit to Stage-USA. Our J1 visa experts will guide you and your host company with the requirements. 
6. Preparing your application: After Stage-USA has collected all the necessary documents we prepare your application. 
7. Payment: When we are ready to submit your application, the remaining application fee will be charged including SEVIS and your health insurance.
8. Sponsorship processing: Once the payment is received, your application will be submitted for sponsorship approval.
9. Sponsorship approval: Once your application is approved, the DS-2019 form is issued to you directly.
10. U.S. Consulate/Embassy appointment: Once you have received your DS-2019 form you can make an appointment at the U.S. Consulate/Embassy for an interview. Stage-USA will prepare you for this interview. 
11. Flight: Last step is to book your flight. We recommend booking your flight once your visa has been approved. 
12. Final preparation details: Stage-USA will provide you with additional information on how to apply for your Social Security Number, as well as opening a US bank account.
