Eligibility:
- Must hold a relevant degree (bachelor’s or higher) or equivalent professional experience in the intended field of study.
- Have an offer letter from your US based host company outlining the research topic (Stage-USA will provide you with further details and a template letter during the application process)
Application Process:
- Complete and submit a J1 visa application form.
- Provide a detailed research proposal outlining the intended project and objectives.
- Submit a current curriculum vitae (CV) highlighting academic and professional experience.
Funding:
- Demonstrate adequate financial resources to support oneself during the stay in the U.S.

J1 Short-Term Scholar - Max 6 months

Eligibility:
- Must be an academic or professional with expertise in a specific field. Enrolled students (at least bachelor degree) can apply as well
- Have a relevant degree or professional qualification related to the intended activities OR currently enrolled at university.
Application Process:
- Complete and submit a J1 visa application form.
- Provide a brief description of the planned activities in the U.S., including objectives and duration.
- Submit a current CV that outlines your credentials and experience.
- Include letters of invitation or collaboration from U.S. institution/organization, if applicable.
Funding:
- Ensure sufficient financial resources to support oneself while in the U.S.

J1 Specialist - Max 12 months

Eligibility:
- Must have demonstrated expertise in a specific field or subject.
- Be invited by a U.S. institution or organization to share specialized knowledge.
Application Process:
- Complete and submit a J1 visa application form.
- Provide a description of the intended activities, such as workshops, presentations, or consultations.
- Submit a current CV that highlights relevant qualifications and experience.
- Include an invitation letter from the U.S. host organization detailing the purpose and duration of the visit.
